Good article. Still waiting for another Final Fantasy Tactics to come to current gen consoles or an HD remake of Chrono Trigger and FF VII (none of those will probably ever happen). The last RPGs I actually had fun with were the Disgaea series. I think JRPGs have become convoluted and confusing as a standard where American made ones are more intuitive. The potential for an amazing middle ground is there but I’ve yet to find it.
