It might have been a while since I owned a Standard Definition TV, but I’m pretty sure that it wasn’t a large flat rock with pictures drawn on it with coloured chalk.
But for some reason, after all these lovely HD-SD comparison stories we’ve been running recently, it sure does look that way.
It seems that video game companies have worked out the best way to make your new “HD Collection” look brilliant is to do a comparison between the HD game and the SD game, whilst somehow making out that our old Standard Definition televisions and consoles had all the technical achievements of a fine cheese.
