Nintendo have teamed up with Fuji Television and Nippon Television to bring the people of Japan a brand new “Spot Pass TV” service for the Nintendo 3DS.
The service is set to launch tomorrow and has been called “Itsu no Ma Ni Terebi”, which loosely translates to “Spot Pass”, and will use the 3DS’ online download system to pick up new bits of original 3D video daily.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has stated that the content provided will be completely free, with advertising making up most of the cost.
Is this what Nintendo were doing registering that “CrossPass” trademark last year?
