The 3DS price drop was a surprise for all of us, and although it’s a little early for Nintendo to release sales numbers, we can expect it’s at least doing well. Now, rumors are flying about, speculating on a possible redesign for the handheld. The new system is said to include an additional analog stick add-on for $10. While that sounds wonderful, the rumors are nowhere near confirmed.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Nintendo has scheduled an upcoming 3DS event that will take place prior to the Tokyo Game show on September 13. Events like this are not new for Nintendo, typically they hold them in the fall to announce new games, and information on new hardware.
If any redesigns occur we can only hope for longer battery life along with that second stick.
