PS4 will be released around 2016-2018 this is what i think,also there is no need for new system yes,the PS3 still can do alot of things and even it didnt reach 50% of its limits from graphics or technology,also for those who think the *PS4* would be released in 2014 or more early,they should know the console of they will not enjoy the PS4 full graphics that needs a new generation of TVs that support graphics thats higher than 1080p,with display of 4k by 2k resolution or more with new 3D without glasses TV which still under research support it in the future,also wireless image and sound technology those TVs are not even been built yet and when they are released it will be costy as hell,sony is waiting for the TVs to be built even along side the PS3 life span didnt end yet,the good news which is the PSP Vita will be gadget of the PS4 in future that support its games,so no new console until 2016-2018.

I’m sure the timeline for the above will come down as its all market lead
so if Microsoft and Nintendo do anything in 2013-14 then Sony will jump up and follow suit.
The big thing for me at the moment is the gap between top end PCs and consoles. the power between them is huge currently and will only get bigger as long as nothing new is announced / released.
