GTA V to launch in October?

GTA V could launch this October in time for the holiday shopping season, according to Rockstar North character animator Alex O’Dwyer.

The employee mentioned the title and launch window on his CV and LinkedIn – which has since been pulled, according to Joystiq.

While launching the game in time for Christmas would be a smart move from a commercial standpoint, it would break with Rockstar’s tradition of only releasing one big title a year, what with Max Payne 3′s May release date drawing ever closer. 

Rockstar has yet to comment.
