Woaw! Ravaged, the upcoming multiplayer first person shooter by 2 Dawn Games, is obviously the mutated love child of an awkward, yet romantic night between the embodiment of DICE’s Battlefield and id’s RAGE. It should come as no surprise seeing as various members of the development team have worked on projects such as Battlefield 2, Desert Combat and Frontlines, all large scale shooters.
Set on post-apocalyptic earth, Ravaged lets you choose to fight for the “Resistance”, a group of resistance fighters hell bent on restoring civilization, or the “Scavengers”, an outnumbering, oppressive, murdering group of lawless criminals (sounds charming). Both teams aiming to gain an upper hand in an ongoing war for survival, territory and resoures.
Ravaged looks like its tying up nicely into a delightful package of large-scale carnage, with vehicular combat, team work and the type of objective-based map control you’ve come to expect from the likes of Battlefield.
The latest is that its currently in development with a Beta release expected soon to pre-ordering customers. It will be releasing on PC this year via Steam and various other PC distribution methods.
