I’m not going to lie: to me, Kinect Star Wars looks bad. Really bad. Yesterday, I would not have considered buying it, but now, the Star Wars fan in me has a hard decision to make.

Microsoft will be releasing a special Star Wars themed-Xbox 360 to coincide with the launch of Kinect Star Wars, and it looks really amazing. The console looks like R2-D2 and the controller is based on C3PO. The bundle will include the console with a 320 gig hard drive, the Kinect sensor (white to match the R2 console) and the gold controller. Also, the console makes R2-D2 beeping noises when you open and close the disc tray.

For a Star Wars fan, it’s almost a no-brainer. Here’s the catch though: it’s priced at $449.99, which is a lot of money (but not much more than just buying a 250 gig 360 and a copy of the game separate). I’m debating buying it, but I’ll probably need to make my mind up soon. The console will be released in limited supply and pre-orders will start soon. If this sounds right for you, head to your favorite retailer soon!
